Eligibility Criteria
Selection Criteria: NEET PG (Qualify)
Admission Process:
The candidate must meet the qualifying requirements and be eligible for the NEET PG test, which is administered annually by NMC, in order to be admitted to MS ophthalmology at any of the Deemed Government, or Private colleges. The candidate must register for the state counseling process held by their respective state medical education council or committee in order to be admitted to private and government colleges, for example, the admission to private and public colleges in Karnataka is handled by the KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority).
The candidate must register with the Medical Council Committee (MCC) in order to be considered for admission to Deemed colleges across India. The NEET qualifying scores and the cut-off scores for seats in the individual colleges are carefully used to determine how the seats are allocated.

Entrance Exams for Admission to MS Colleges
Candidates must take the NEET PG or INI CET admission test if they want to enroll in an MS or Master of Surgery program. Two MS entry exams are NEET PG and INI CET. Following state-level counseling sessions at PGIMER, JIPMER, and AIIMS, many states host MS Admission events based on NEET PG scores.
The National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducts the NEET PG, a national-level test, for MD admissions. The annual online exam has a 3.2-hour time limit.
The PG Institute of Medical Education and Research offers an MD program each year. There is a three-hour-long entrance exam that is taken online.
The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, or JIPMER PG, is associated with MD programs. These privately operated programs regularly accept new participants. This online admissions test lasts for three hours.
Each year, AIIMS PG, a section of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, admits students to MD programs. The lengthy online admission exam for these programs has a three-hour time limit.
