Eligibility criteria:

Under-Graduate

BE / B.Tech

  • Passed the 2nd PUC/ 12th / Equivalent Exam with English as one of the languages with a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics/ Computers. (40% for Karnataka reserved category candidates).
  • Taking any one entrance exam is Mandatory. CET/ COMED-K / JEE / AIEEE

Post-Graduate

MTech (Technology/CSE/VLSI Design & Embedded Systems)

  • Relevant BE/BTech degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for Karnataka SC/ST category) from a recognized university. 
  • Entrance Exam (anyone): PGCET/GATE in the core specialization

MBA

  • Have a minimum of 50% aggregate in graduation from a recognized university
  • Have completed graduation in Commerce, Arts, Science, Business Management, Law, Agriculture, or Engineering disciplines
  • Have taken any of the Management entrance tests, such as PGCET, KMAT, or any such similar examinations

BNM Institute of Technology Course Admission and selection process:

BNMIT Bangalore offers undergraduate courses in Engineering and Technology (B.E.) Admissions to these courses are done through the following channels:

  • Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET): The Government of Karnataka fills 45% of the seats in BNMIT Bangalore through KCET.
  • Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges Karnataka (COMEDK UGET): COMEDK UGET is a private entrance exam for admission to engineering colleges in Karnataka. BNMIT Bangalore fills 30% of its seats through COMEDK UGET.
  • Management Quota: BNMIT Bangalore also fills 25% of its seats through the management quota.

Selection Process

The selection process for admission to undergraduate courses at BNMIT Bangalore is as follows:

KCET/COMEDK UGET: Candidates who have appeared for KCET/COMEDK UGET must participate in the respective counseling process and select BNMIT Bangalore as their preferred college. Seats will be allotted to candidates based on their rank in the entrance exam.

Management Quota: Candidates who wish to apply for admission under the management quota must contact the college directly. Admission to the management quota is done on a first-come-first-served basis.

For postgraduate programs:

MBA

  • Applicants must take the state-level KPGCET or KMAT entrance exams. They can also qualify by passing national aptitude tests like CAT or CMAT. The MBA Management Quota is based on academic merit.

M. Tech

  • Applicants must be GATE or KPGCET qualified with a relevant bachelor's degree.

Selections for both programs depend on 

  • Rankings in COMED-K or KCET
  • Scores in the Karnataka PGCET or GATE entrance exams

Scholarships

B.N.M Institute of Technology offers a variety of scholarships to meritorious and deserving students. The scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, sports achievement, cultural achievements, and financial need.

Here is a list of scholarships offered at BNMIT Bangalore:

Merit Scholarships

  • CET Merit Scholarship: CET students admitted within the ranking of 1000 will be given a scholarship of Rs. 25,000/- at the time of admission.
  • COMEDK Merit Scholarship: COMEDK students admitted within ranking 3000 will be given a scholarship of Rs. 25,000/- at the time of admission.
  • Topper Scholarship: Toppers in every branch every semester will get a Merit Scholarship of Rs. 20,000/-.
  • 90% Scholarship: Students securing more than 90% in any semester will be given a scholarship of Rs. 10,000/-.
  • Rural Student Scholarship: Scholarships of Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 25,000/- will be given to rural students from economically weaker section admitted through CET.

BNM Institute of Technology Placement :

BNM Institute of Technology has a placement cell that aims to achieve 100% placement each year. The placement cell provides training in soft skills and technical skills and exposes students to the corporate environment. The placements at BNMIT Bangalore are generally good.
