Under-Graduate

B.Tech

• Passed 10+2 from any recognized Education Board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 60% marks.

B.Sc  (Biotechnology)

• Passed 10+2 from any recognized Education Board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology/Botany/Zoology as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 60% marks.

BCA/BBA

• Passed 10+2 from any recognized Education Board with a minimum of 55% marks 

LLB

• The Students must have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized board with 45% aggregate marks.
• The Students must qualify for the Entrance exams as per the College/University’s requirement.

BA LLB/ BBA LLB

• Students must have completed their 10+2 / equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate percentage of 45-50%  in any stream from a recognized board or university.
• Students must qualify for the entrance exams depending on the College/University

• Passed Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks.

M.Tech

• B.E in Engg./ Technology/ Architecture or the equivalent of MCA/ MSc with a minimum of 50% marks.

MCA

• Candidates must have a BCA/B.Sc. degree with Mathematics as a major subject or B.E./ B.Tech in Computer Science / Information Science/ IT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

M.Pharm.: 

• Students Must have passed the B.Pharmacy degree examination of an Indian University established by Law in India from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and have scored not less than 55% marks aggregate.

M.A. - Journalism And Mass Communication: 

• Must have a UG degree from a recognized University with a minimum 50% aggregate

Dayananda sagar admission

The admissions process at Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) varies depending on the course and program to which you are applying. For most undergraduate and postgraduate programs, admission is based on a combination of your entrance exam score, academic performance, and personal interview.

Entrance exams

The following entrance exams are accepted for admission to DSU:

Undergraduate programs:

DSU-MAT (Dayananda Sagar University Management Aptitude Test): This exam is required for admission to all undergraduate management programs, such as BBA and BCom.

KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test): This exam is required for admission to all undergraduate engineering and science programs.

Postgraduate programs:

PGCET (Karnataka Postgraduate Common Entrance Test): This exam is required for admission to all postgraduate programs, such as MBA, MCA, and MTech.

CAT (Common Admission Test): This exam is accepted for admission to the MBA program.

MAT (Management Aptitude Test): This exam is accepted for admission to the MBA program.

Direct Admission

DSU also offers direct admission to some undergraduate and postgraduate programs. For direct admission, you must meet the minimum eligibility criteria for the program and submit all required documents.

Personal interview

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview. The interview is an opportunity for the university to get to know you better and assess your fit for the program.

The university will make a final admission decision based on your entrance exam score, academic performance, personal interview, and other relevant factors.

Scholarship

Dayananda Sagar University offers various scholarships to eligible students based on their academic performance and financial need. The scholarships aim to provide financial assistance to deserving students so that they can pursue their education without any financial constraints.

Merit-based scholarships

DSU Merit Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students who have scored in the top 10% of their class in their previous examination.

DSU Sports Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students who have excelled in sports at the national or international level.

DSU Cultural Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students who have excelled in cultural activities at the national or international level.

Economically disadvantaged students

DSU Fee Waiver Scheme: This scheme provides a 100% fee waiver to students who belong to economically disadvantaged families.

DSU Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students who have scored well in their previous examinations and come from economically disadvantaged families.

Other scholarships

DSU Alumni Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students whose parents are alumni of DSU.

DSU Defense Personnel Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students whose parents or guardians are serving or retired defense personnel.

DSU NRI Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students who are Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) or Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs).

Dayananda Sagar University has a well-established and dedicated placement cell called the Centre of Innovation and Leadership (CIL), that works to provide placement opportunities to its students. Every year more than 300 companies from almost every sector including finance, technology, medicine, and architecture among others visit the campus for internships and hiring candidates. Along with national companies, many international companies come to this university. 

In 2023, the average placement rate for DSU students was 64%. The highest package offered was INR 14.5 lakhs per annum, and the average package was INR 7 lakhs per annum. 

DSU also offers international placement opportunities to its students. In 2023, several DSU students were placed in companies in the United States, Europe, and Australia.
