Eligibility Criteria

B.E (Civil/CSE/Electronics & Communication/Mechanical / Information Science)

• 10+2 from a recognized board (45% for General, 40% for ST/SC/OBC/Category 1 candidates)
• Must Qualify in Entrance Exams: KCET OR COMED-K

B.E (Mechanical / Electronics & Communications )

• 10+2 from a recognized board (45% for General, 40% for ST/SC/OBC/Category 1 candidates)
• Must Qualify in Entrance Exams:  COMED-K

MCA

• Graduation in a relevant field from a recognized university( 50% for General. 45% in the case of ST/SC )
• Must Qualify in Entrance Exams: PGCET

MBA 

• Graduation from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks
• Entrance Exam: KMAT/CMAT/MAT/PGCET (Anyone is mandatory)

MTech

• Graduation in a relevant field from a recognized university (50% in B.Tech/B.E from a recognized university)
• Entrance Exam: GATE or PGCET qualified

Admission & Selection Process

Under-Graduate

B.E (Civil/CSE/Electronics & Communication/Mechanical / Information Science) +B.Sc.(Hons.) in Allied Sciences

The UG Admission Process at AIT takes place through any one of  the following

• Admission through CET
• Admission through COMED-K
• Admission through Management Quota

Admission through CET:

• Applicable for students who are domiciles in Karnataka.
• Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) of GoK conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) for Admission into B.E and other UG courses. 
• Seat Allotment starts in June.
• 45% of the seats of the total intake and 5% of supernumerary quota seats are allotted through CET.

Admission through COMED-K:

• Applicable for students of Karnataka & Non-Karnataka Students.
• Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) conducts entrance in May every year.
• 30% of the seats of the total intake are allotted through the COMED-K test.

Admission through Management Quota:

• 25% of the total intake is filled through management quota.

B.E (Mechanical / Electronics & Communications )

Admission through PGCET:

• 50% of the total intake is allotted through PGCET
• KEA conducts PGCET during May / June each year. 
• Mandatory for Admission to colleges affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).
• PGCET is a gateway to enter into top Private (Aided & Unaided)/Government Institutions. PGCET Counseling will be conducted based on the ranks that students get.
• At the time of Centralized Counseling, students can choose AIT.

Admission through Management Quota:

• 50% of the total intake is filled through management quota.
• Admission formalities start in April/May every year. 
• Students with PGCET / K-MAT/C-MAT Score can visit the campus and will be selected on a Merit basis and Performance. 

M.Tech

Admission through PGCET:

• 80% of the total intake is allotted through PGCET

Admission through Management Quota:

• 20% of the total intake is filled through management quota.
• Students with PGCET /GATE Score can visit the campus and will be selected on a Merit basis and Performance.
