The Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) is spread across two sprawling campuses and is equipped with academic labs that push the boundaries of the known, interdisciplinary centers that blur the conventional boundaries of academia, and research centers that collaborate with industries to create society-centric solutions for a better tomorrow.
The University is continuously humming with activities and ideas that are ready to be realized, from guest lectures and workshops to sports and cultural events, intra- and inter-college fests to national level conferences.
Spacious classrooms
Across both campuses, the Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences provides students with a variety of on-campus and off-campus housing alternatives.
The University manages and operates the on-campus dorms at RUAS. Comprehensive criteria have been established to protect the safety and comfort of all students who reside on campus, and all borders are expected to closely comply with these.
Students and faculty members avidly engage in the university's annual athletics meet. The one-day festival features short- and middle-distance sprints, relays, long jump, high jump, discus throw, shot put, and other track and field events. The event, which frequently features prominent sportsmen as special guests, begins with a traditional inauguration that includes a march past, flag hoisting, torch run, and oath taking. The event is officiated by judges from outside the RUAS family. At the end of the competition, the Best Athlete Male and Best Athlete Female are named and awarded. An overall champion is also determined based on the number of points.
Throughout the year, the University holds inter-faculty tournaments. These weekend events help students maintain a competitive spirit by awarding trophies, medals, and certificates for athletic prowess. Some events take place on the Gnanagangorthi Campus, while others take place on the Peenya Campus. Cricket, football, table tennis, shuttle badminton, carom, chess, basketball, volleyball, kabaddi, and kho kho are among the sports featured in the contests.
The MSRUAS library, which opened in 2018, serves the Faculty of Management and Commerce as well as the Faculty of Life and Allied Health Sciences.
The 2,500-square-foot, centrally placed library houses a collection of over 3,000 learning resources in management, commerce, and life and health sciences. By recognizing, purchasing, organizing, and retrieving material in various media (print and non-print), the library seeks to provide convenient and user-friendly access to current, worldwide, and relevant information. In doing so, we seek to support the academic fraternity at RUAS's information needs and assist them in meeting their teaching, research, consulting, training, and learning objectives.
Our 100-seat hall is frequently utilized for guest lectures, workshops, and seminars. Industryprofessionals and practitioners are invited to share their knowledge and experience with the students and engage with them. This allows students to gain a better understanding of the working reality of the business in which they will soon be employed.
