Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have at least a 50% overall score (or 40% for SC/ST/OBC) in PCB in the 10+2 or equivalent exam from a reputed board or university. 
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 50% is also necessary for the candidate's MBBS degree from an accredited university.
  • Following the completion of an MBBS degree, a 1-year mandatory internship is required.
  • In addition, they must pass the NEET-PG entrance exam administered by the National Board of Examinations or private institute exams administered by AIIMS, JIPMER, and others, followed by state counseling.

Admission Process:

To be admitted to any of the Deemed Government or Private colleges for MS Gynecology, the candidate must complete the eligibility conditions and pass the NEET PG examination, which is offered by NMC each year. To be considered for admission to private and government colleges, the candidate must register for the state counseling process held by their individual state medical education council or committee. In Karnataka, for example, the KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority) handles admission to private and public colleges. 

To be considered for admission into reputable colleges across India, a candidate must register with the Medical Council Committee (MCC). The sole criteria considered are the NEET qualifying scores and the cut-off scores for seats in various institutions.

Entrance Exams for Admission to MS Colleges

Candidates must be registered with the Medical Council of India or the State Medical Council. Furthermore, they must be eligible to take the NEET-PG entrance test, which is administered by the National Board of Examinations, or private institute exams such as AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, and others, followed by state counseling.

  • The National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducts the NEET PG, a national-level exam, for MD admissions. The time given for the yearly online exam is 3.2 hours.
  • Every year, the PG Institute of Medical Education and Research offers an MD program. There is a three-hour-long entrance test that is taken online. 
  • JIPMER PG, which is associated with the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, offers MD programs. These programs, which are privately administered, often accept new participants. This online admissions test takes three hours to complete.
  • Every year, AIIMS PG, a section of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, admits students to MD programs. The lengthy, online admission exam for these programs has a three-hour time limit.
