B.TECH - Mechanical Engineering

The B Tech Mechanical Engineering branch is one of the most versatile and diverse fields. MES encompasses elements of Mathematics, Physics, Electrical, civil structures, chemistry, materials science, control engineering, computers, etc. It is a branch that touches every industry from Medical devices to automobiles to cell phones to power plants & aircraft. ME provides broad Engineering career opportunities with jobs indoors or outdoors based on your passion. This is one such field that is always in demand and pays well, anything that needs manufacturing will need the expertise of a Mechanical Engineer

Duration - The UG degree in Mechanical is for 4 years from any university in the country for 10+2 students and is  3 years for Diploma graduates.

Salient Features -

  • The program covers fundamental engineering subjects such as thermodynamics, mechanics, fluid dynamics, materials science, and electrical circuits to build a strong engineering foundation.
  • Courses in mechanical design focus on concepts like CAD (Computer-Aided Design), product design, and engineering graphics. Students learn to create and analyze mechanical systems and components.
  • This branch of engineering delves into topics like heat transfer, refrigeration, air conditioning, and combustion. It's essential for understanding energy conversion and HVAC systems.
  • Hands-on laboratory work is a significant part of the curriculum. Students conduct experiments to reinforce theoretical knowledge and develop practical skills.

Syllabus

The B.Tech Mechanical Engineering curriculum is designed to offer students a balanced blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical experience across disciplines like materials science, thermodynamics, and automobile engineering. The subjects covered in B.Tech Mechanical Engineering also encompass modules on English and soft skills, aimed at enriching students' communication and comprehension abilities.
