Eligibility & Admissions

Eligibility for B.E./B.Tech:

  • The students must have passed the 10+2/PUC/equivalent examination from a recognized board or university with Physics, Maths, and Computer Science as mandatory subjects and secured 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC).
  • The student should be 17 years of age by the Admission Year.
  • The Students must have qualified in any one entrance exam: JEE/CET/COMEDK/ WBJEE/UPSEE.

Admission Process

The admission for B.E/B. Tech is done based on the ranking in the National Entrance Examination (JEE) or State level Entrance Exam like (KCET) or direct university entrance exams. The JEE Mains exams are conducted in two phases. The first phase of JEE was conducted at the end of Jan 2023 and the second phase will be held in April. There are some colleges offering seats based on Merit from 12th Exams. There is no one rule fits all approach to admission so, please make yourself familiar with the different Entrance exams and the corresponding dates for the exams and cut-off in colleges.

Entrance Exams for Admission to B.E/ B Tech ECE

To pursue a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and communication engineering course, Students must take National Entrance Examination (JEE) or State-level Entrance Exams like KCET, MHT CET, WBJEE, or COMED-K as well as University Entrance exams. These examinations serve as crucial gateways for aspiring students aiming to gain admission to reputable institutions.

Here are the details about ECE Engineering Top Entrance Exams

  • The JEE Main exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in an online mode with a duration of 3 hours.
  • The JEE Advanced (IIT JEE) exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology in an online mode with a duration of 3 Hours
  • Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) conducts the KCET exam in an offline mode in a duration of 1 hour 20 mins.
  • The WBJEE exam is conducted by the West Bengal joint Entrance Exam in offline mode with a duration of 2 Hours
  • The Maharashtra Government Conducts the MHT - CET exam in Offline mode with a time limit of 1 Hour 30 Mins
  • GUJCET is conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board in offline mode with the time duration of 3 hours
  • The Consortium of Medical, Engineering & Dental college is the conducting agency of COMED - K exam.
