B.TECH - Chemical Engineering

B.Tech Chemical engineering is a branch of engineering that applies principles of chemistry, physics, mathematics, and economics to design, develop, and optimize processes that involve the transformation of raw materials into valuable products. Course Duration - The duration of a UG degree in Chemical is for 4 years from any recognized university in the country for 10+2 students and is  3 years for Diploma graduates.

Eligibility for B.E./B. Tech in Chemical

  • The students must have passed the 10+2/PUC/equivalent examination from a recognized board or university with Physics, Maths, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects and secured 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC).
  • The student should be 17 years of age by the admission Year.
  • The Students must have qualified in any one entrance exam: JEE/CET/COMEDK/ WBJEE/UPSEE.

Admission Process

The admission for B.E/B. Tech is done based on the ranking in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) or State levels Entrance Exams like KCET, TNEA, WBJEE, or direct Univerity Entrance exams. The JEE Mains exams are conducted in two phases. There are some colleges offering seats based on Merit from 12th Exams.

  • The JEE Main exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in an online mode with a duration of 3 hours.

  • Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) conducts the KCET exam in an offline mode in a duration of 1 hour 20 mins.
  • The WBJEE exam is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam in offline mode with a duration of 2 Hours
  • The Maharashtra Government Conducts the MHT - CET exam in Offline mode with a time limit of 1 Hour 30 Mins
  • GUJCET is conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board in offline mode with the time duration of 3 hours 
  • The Consortium of Medical, Engineering & Dental College is the conducting agency of COMED - K exam.
