  • The candidates to qualify for Admission should have scored the minimum percentile in NEET, MHT CET, AIIMS, GCET, ITM NEST, etc

Admission Process:
The admission process for B.Sc. Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology can vary among colleges, primarily categorized as merit-based and entrance exam-based admissions.

Merit-Based Admission for B.Sc. Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology:

In this pathway, colleges admit students based on their academic performance in the qualifying examination. To be eligible, candidates must meet the college's specified criteria, complete the application form, and submit the required documents. Subsequently, applicants are assessed and ranked in a merit list. Certain institutions may conduct counseling sessions or interviews for shortlisted candidates, with seat allocation based on the order of merit.

Entrance Exam-Based Admission for B.Sc. Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology:

Under this admission process, aspiring students are required to participate in a college-specific entrance examination. The steps include completing the entrance exam application, receiving admit cards, and taking the exam, which typically covers subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and aptitude. Results from the entrance test lead to the creation of a merit list, and shortlisted candidates participate in counseling sessions to choose their preferred colleges and courses based on their exam rankings. Seats are allocated during the counseling process, and document verification is conducted to complete the admission procedure. It can vary according to the college's preferences.

Entrance Exams for Admission to College
Admission to B.Sc. Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology programs can be achieved through various entrance exams and admission procedures. Notable options include the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Entrance Exam and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), both of which assess candidates' eligibility for medical and paramedical courses, including B.Sc. Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology. Additionally, some states conduct their own entrance exams, while certain institutions have institution-specific exams. Merit-based admission and direct admission based on 10+2 academic performance may also be available at select institutions.

Here are the details of the Entrance Exams for the B.Sc Allied Health Course:

  • AIIMS B.Sc. (Hons.) Paramedical Entrance Exam: AIIMS conducts this national-level computer-based test (CBT) lasting about 3 hours for admission to various paramedical courses, across its institutes in India.
  • JIPMER B.Sc. Allied Medical Sciences Entrance Exam: JIPMER's CBT exam, lasting 2.5 to 3 hours, is crucial for B.Sc. Allied Medical Sciences admissions, at the institute.
  • NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Undergraduate): Conducted by NTA, NEET UG, a 3-hour exam in pen-and-paper or CBT mode, primarily focuses on medical and dental admissions. Some institutions may consider NEET scores for allied health science programs.
  • State-Level Entrance Exams: Various states hold their exams for paramedical and allied health science courses. Exam mode, duration (typically 2-3 hours), and details vary by state. Examples include PPMET in Punjab and HPMET in Haryana.
  • University-Specific Entrance Exams: Some universities and colleges conduct their entrance exams for Paramedical and allied Health courses. Exam mode and duration depend on the institution's policies.
