B.Tech

  1. Candidate must have passed the 10+2 exam with a minimum mark of 45%(40% for reserve) in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biology/CS/Electronics/IT/Informatics practices/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subject/Agriculture/Engineering graphics/Business studies/Entrepreneurship, taken together
  2. The scores of entrance exams like KCET/Comed-K will be considered

M.Tech:

  1. Educational Qualification:
    • Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree (B.E/B.Tech) in a relevant engineering field from a recognized university.
  2. Minimum Marks:
    • A minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required for general category students (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates from Karnataka).
  3. Entrance Exam:
    • Must have qualified in PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) or GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).
  4. Reservation:
    • Reservations for SC/ST/OBC and other categories are applicable as per government norms.

PhD:

  1. Educational Qualification:
    • A Master's Degree (M.Tech/M.E) in a relevant field of Engineering or Technology from a recognized university.
  2. Minimum Marks:
    • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in their postgraduate degree (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
  3. Entrance Exam:
    • Must qualify in the PhD Entrance Exam conducted by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) or any other recognized entrance test such as UGC-NET.
  4. Research Proposal:
    • Submission of a research proposal and personal interview might be required as part of the selection process.
