Acharya Institute of Technology is known to be one of the supreme institutes where students from all across the nation can apply with the motto of pursuing their higher education. Also known as AIT, this institute is located in Bengaluru which is known to be the technological hub of India. It is a co-educational institute that was established in the year 2000 with the aim of nurturing aspirations and supporting growth. The institute is spread across an area of 120 acres which makes it a whole different world where the students get room to prosper both personally and academically. Acharya Institute of Technology believes in collaborative learning where ideas fly and amalgamate with each other leading to innovation. Due to this very reason it the home to the students of almost 75 countries. AIT is affiliated under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and has been accredited by the NAAC and National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It was established by Premnath Reddy, Chairman of Acharya Group of Institutions. The institute is managed by the JMJ Education Society headquartered in Bengaluru.
Over the years Acharya Institute of Technology has earnt many laurels to its name. It was granted the
status of “technical campus” by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The Deccan Herald has noted the institute as one of the most “notable” colleges to apply for in order to pursue higher education from the state of Karnataka.
Established with the aim of creating a new benchmark in world education Acharya Institute of
Technology presently has a student count of around 12000. It offers around 100+ academic programs to the students which gives them an opportunity to proceed with the preferred course.
AIT Provides both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It mostly deals with the courses on engineering and management. The candidates can check about the courses offered by going to the “courses” section of the institute. AIT owns the pride of the fact to be known as global leaders in the field of education. Therefore, it has an eminent set of faculty who guides the students for their betterment. They are a combination of young and experienced, passionate and curious individuals.

Every resident has access to a wide range of activities, facilities, and support on the campus. Besides the regular Residents & #39; dining facilities, there are affordable food services within the campus that provide inexpensive and easily accessible lunch or evening snack options. Acharya Institutes, with its beautiful landscape and carefully tended gardens, provide an ideal environment for a congenial learning experience and encourage participating in various committees in Hall Events such as Cultural, Discipline, Sports, Mess, and Maintenance.
Acharya Halls of Residence runs 12 Residences (05 for Boys and 07 for Girls), with the capacity for 1500 residents, who can be accommodated in a single, double, three bedded rooms and common areas with TV and Newspaper. Residents can avail themselves of the sports facilities, horse – riding and other facilities. Well – equipped Laundry services are provided for residents. Each Residence is managed under the supervision of the Chief Warden and Deputy Warden, who are the faculty members of Acharya along with the assistance of Managers and Supervisors.
Dining halls are maintained with highly mechanized Kitchen and hygienic cooking infrastructure. We serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The menu is prepared according to the food habits and tastes of residents. Mess Committee (comprising of Hostel Authority, Mess Manager and Leaders from Students) meet every month to discuss the menu and decide the same for the following month.
International students have the option to choose an existing mess facility or to cook for themselves in a separate kitchen facility provided in the international student hostel.
AIT is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation(NBA). It was the first college of the Visvesvaraya Technological University to start an undergraduate course in Mechatronics in Karnataka. It is one of the seven colleges in Karnataka to be funded by the World Bank and receives endowments from the VTU to carry out research in both its undergraduate and postgraduate departments.
