The Central Board of Secondary Education has taken back the affiliation of 21 schools because of the number of non-attending students from classes IX-XII.and including this six schools were also downgraded from senior secondary to secondary level.
According to the board, Surprise visits were conducted across 27 schools in Rajasthan and Delhi on September 3, 2024. The inspections were also conducted to ascertain schools operating in compliance with the norms of regular attendance of students in schools.
According to the issued notice, The schools have been allowed 30 days to respond to this decision. “The CBSE has emphasized that dummy or non-attending schools undermine educational integrity and issue a notice which allows schools 30 days to respond. The vital observations of the Surprise Inspection Committees about the irregularities observed during the inspections were communicated as a report to the respective schools,"
