JEE Main 2025 Registration: NTA Advises Aadhaar Authentication for Smooth Process
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has taken an important step by updating the Aadhaar card verification process for students applying to the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025. Some students have encountered issues with Aadhaar verification while trying to register for the exam. According to the NTA, these problems primarily arise from discrepancies between the name on the Aadhaar card and the name on the Class 10 certificate.
The JEE Main 2025 registration has started, and the registration window remains open till November 22 up to 11:50 pm. Interested candidates can register for JEE Mains 2025 session 1 through the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Mains 2025 session 1 will be held from January 22 to 31, and session 2 exams will be held from April 1 to 8.
JEE Main 2025 Aadhaar Authentication
To fix JEE Main 2025 Aadhaar Authentication, the NTA has updated the online registration process for JEE Main 2025. If a student faces a pop-up message about a "name mismatch" during Aadhaar verification, they should close the pop-up.
The message reads: “Name mismatch during Aadhaar Authentication. To update your Name on your Aadhaar Card, please visit your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra. To proceed with Aadhaar Authentication, please enter your name as given in Aadhaar.”
After closing the pop-up, a new window will open, allowing students to enter their name the same as it appears on their Aadhaar card. Both the names from the Aadhaar card and the Class 10 certificate will be recorded, now students can continue their JEE Main 2025 application without issues.

Filling out the application form for JEE Mains 2025 is very simple, candidates can refer to the points below to learn about filling out the JEE Mains registration form:
- Go to the official JEE Main 2025 portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Click the “new registration” link on the homepage.
- Enter your mobile number and email ID for registration.
- After the mobile number and email ID are verified fill out the registration form by providing ball personal and academic details.
- Select the exam center and upload the required document.
- After paying the registration fee submit the form.
- Take a printout for future reference.
Documents Required for JEE Mains 2025 Registration
Candidates can check the list of important documents that are required during the registration process for JEE Mains 2025:
- A valid ID proof (Aadhar card, voter ID, passport, driver's license)
- Class 10th and 12th mark sheet.
- Recent passport-sized photo not older than 3 months.
- Photograph of signature.
- Category certificate(if applicable).
