The announcement has been made following the Uttar Pradesh state cabinet's recent approval, which includes the allocation of 2.3239 hectares of government land designated for the university project.

On 10 March 2023, Singh formally proposed the allocation of land in Chakoli for EFLU’s new branch. Singh highlighted the availability of adequate government land in Sarojininagar suitable for the establishment of a university in a letter to CM Yogi Aditya Nath.

Singh continued to support the project and submitted another letter to CM Yogi Adityanath asking to speed up the cabinet's approval for land allocation. He detailed the land available in Chakoli, specifically plots 359 and 360, which cover 2.323 hectares of land area.

The State Cabinet finally approved the land allocation in November 2024. Singh expressed his gratitude to CM Yogi and the cabinet and congratulated the residents of Sarojininagar.
