NEET PG 2024 Counselling: MCC Updates Brochure, Adds AFMC Eligibility Criteria

Introduction 

For the NEET PG 2024 counselling process, The Medical Counselling Committee has released a revised information bulletin which involves important updates regarding the Armed Forces Medical Services counselling and eligibility requirements.

According to a letter issued on June 26, 2024, the Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services has announced that starting this year, the MCC of the Directorate General of Health Services will commence the counselling process for Priority III, IV, and V candidates who are seeking admission to Armed Forces Medical Services Postgraduate Teaching Institutes can apply for this at the official website.

Key Details of NEET PG Counselling 2024 Brochure: 

After reviewing the application of the candidates, The DGAFMS will provide the MCC with an eligibility list of Priority III and IV candidates. For Priority V candidates, the detailed scope of the medical examination is available in the information bulletin on the AFMS website. Candidates who are registered under Priority V will be counselled and provisionally allotted a seat on the basis of their merit and seat availability. The medical examination is going to be conducted for these candidates at the institute where they are provisionally assigned and medically fit will get the admission.

Eligibility Criteria 

Seats will be allocated based on the following priority system:

 

  1. Priority 1: AFMS officers who are enrolled in Advanced Specialist or Postgraduate courses.
  2. Priority 2: Government-sponsored foreign students and AFMS officers who are on Study Leave.
  3. Priority 3: Medical Officers who are going to be sponsored by paramilitary or other government organisations.
  4. Priority 4: Ex-SSC AFMS officers within three years of service release.
  5. Priority 5: Candidates should be civilians.
