JEE Main 2025 Session 1 & 2: Registration Link, Dates, Exam Centres, Fees & Syllabus Updates
Introduction
The National Testing Agency has commenced the Joint Entrance Examination Main for the year 2025 registration process for admission into engineering programmes. Many alterations like removing optional questions, revising tie-breaking rule and total attempt have been introduced. The JEE Mains registration link 2025 has been updated on the new official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The exams for IIT JEE Main 2025 exam are going to be held in two sessions for admission into BE, BTech programmes at
- Indian Institutes of Technology
- National Institutes of Technology and other participating colleges.

The NTA cleared that the tentative dates have been announced to ensure that the JEE Main exam date 2025 does not interfere with the Class 12 board exam 2025 dates.

JEE Main 2025 Syllabus
NTA JEE Mains syllabus 2025 is the same as classes 11 and 12. For JEE Main Paper 1 having subjects of BE/BTech courses, candidates can prepare for JEE using their class 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics textbooks of NCERT and state boards.
The syllabus of Paper 2A of BArch and the Planning Syllabus for Paper 2B for BPlan are also the same as those of class 11 and 12 textbooks of their particular subjects.
Exam Centers of JEE Mains 2025
The exam center assigned to each candidate is going to be confirmed on their admit card. Applicants are supposed to select four preferred cities at the time of registration and on the basis of that NTA assigns a center from preferred choices, according to the availability. Further updates, including details on the advance city intimation slip, will be available on the official NTA JEE Main website at jeemain.nta.ac.in.
Fees of JEE MAINS 2025 for Session 1 and Session 2
NTA has announced the exact fees for JEE Main 2025 for Session 1 and Session 2 in their official notification based on recent trends, an estimated breakdown of fees is as follows:
For Indian Nationals
- For the General and OBC category it is around Rs 1,000 - to 1,500 per session
- For Reserved Categories, it is Rs 500 - 750 per session
For International Students:
- For the General/OBC Category it is around Rs 3,000 per session
- For Reserved Categories, it is Rs 1,500 per session
