NEET UG 2024: AIQ Stray Vacancy Round Choice Locking Begins | MCC Counselling

Introduction 

The Medical Counselling Committee has started the NEET UG 2024 All India Quota stray vacancy round for the choice-locking process. This round is very important for candidates because it is the last chance for the candidate to secure a medical seat in participating institutions across India under the AIQ. In this round, seats which are left unfilled in previous rounds are offered to eligible candidates, to select and lock their preferences for courses and institutions. Once a choice is locked by the candidate, it cannot be altered, so candidates should carefully review and confirm their selections before final submission.

The MCC has advised the candidates to stay updated by getting the latest information and updates through the official website. The stray vacancy round serves as the concluding phase in the AIQ counselling process which offer

candidates a final chance to secure a medical seat for the academic year 2024.

 Eligible candidates have to register and lock the choice at mcc.nic.in for the NEET UG stray round. It is the last round of the NEET counselling this year for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses. According to MCC, 1,184 seats are vacant for the stray vacancy round.

If a candidate does not accept the seat which is given by the Committee then he or she will be debarred from the NEET examination for the next session. 

The MCC NEET counselling 2024 stray round result is advised to be declared for the admission to 15 per cent of seats in all government medical and dental colleges and 100 per cent of seats in Deemed and Central Universities, ESIC, AFMC, AIIMS, and JIPMER seats.
