CBSE 2025 Exams: Class 10 & 12 Practicals to Begin January 1, Guidelines Released
Introduction
The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the dates for Class 10 and Class 12 practical exams for the year 2025. For the 2024-25 academic session, the practical exams, project works and internal assessment will be held from January 1, 2025 for all the CBSE-affiliated schools in India and abroad.The theoretical exams will commence from February 15, 2025.
To help the schools conduct the practical exams properly and smoothly, the CBSE board has also released a list of Class 10, 12 subjects with marks distribution. The board has issued the circular after it noticed that schools were erring while uploading the internal marks.
The details provided by CBSE circular include:
- class,
- subject code
- subject name
- maximum marks for theory exam
- maximum marks for practical exam
- maximum marks for project assessment
- maximum marks for internal assessment.
It will be mentioned in the circular whether an external examiner will be appointed for CBSE practical exam assessment or not practical answer-books will be provided to the students, and what type of answer books are going to be used in the theory exams are also mentioned in the CBSE circular.
CBSE has announced that the maximum marks allotted to each subject will be 100 which is distributed amongst theory, practical, project and internal assessment.
According to the statement of CBSE circular, “ Marks once uploaded will not be changed.”
