MCC NEET PG Counselling 2024 LIVE: State-wise registration details
Introduction
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG)Counselling 2024 Schedule will be released soon. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will release the NEET PG Counselling 2024 dates on the official website. Candidates can check the schedule on the official website– mcc.nic.in.
Registration for NEET PG 2024 Round 1 started on 20 September 2024. The counselling is for admissions to All India Quota (AIQ) seats in Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and postgraduate programs. Various medical institutions in India give admissions based on the NEET Scores.
The counselling will be conducted in four rounds-
- Round 1
- Round 2
- Round 3
- AIQ Stray vacancy round
NEET PG 2024 SC Hearing
The Supreme Court will hear the NEET PG 2024 Case tomorrow i.e., 25 October 2024. After the announcement of NEET PG results, a controversy sparked as students alleged discrepancies in the evaluation and ranking process. As a result, a petition was filed by medical students to disclose the response sheets, raw scores, pre-normalized scores, normalised results, and answer keys for NEET PG 2024. The lack of transparency and discrepancies in the ranking process created suspicion among the students. Students seek justice on the issue from the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) and the government.
The NEET PG Counselling Process has been stopped in about six states, including Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. This is because of the pending decision on the case by the Supreme Court.
What is NEET?
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions to various Medical Colleges in India.
