AIIMS New Delhi has recently hosted a workshop which works by focusing on emerging technologies with a key emphasis on the role of artificial intelligence by transforming the healthcare sector. In this workshop, experts from various fields came together, incl
which includes healthcare, technology and academia by discussing the integration of AI in clinical practices, medical research and hospital management.
Speakers highlighted how AI is coming up in healthcare through advancements in diagnostics, predictive analytics, personalised medicine and robotic surgery. AI-powered tools are going to improve accuracy in disease detection by enabling early diagnosis of conditions like cancer and cardiovascular diseases. In addition to this, AI is also streamlining hospital operations by increasing patient care and more accurate treatment plans.
The workshop also spread the light on the ethical and regulatory challenges thrown by AI in healthcare which covers patient data privacy, algorithmic biases and the need for healthcare professionals to maintain, upskill and adapt these technologies.
