Jamia Millia Islamia Introduces MTech in Environmental Health, Risk & Safety Management
An MTech Program was launched by the Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) in Environmental Health, Risk & Safety Management. Registrations for the same will be open till 27 October 2024. Interested candidates can apply before the deadline, at the official website– jmicoe.in.
The entrance date for the programme is November 3. Applicants will have to fill out a separate form available at the JMI website. Admissions to this MTech degree will be based on the entrance exam conducted by JMI.
The MTech Program is a two-year long course and will have four semesters.
The tuition fee for the programme is Rs INR 45,275 (annually).
As per the official release by Jamia Millia Islamia, the programme emphasises developing leadership in the field, empowering graduates to contribute to sustainable industrial practices. The program is designed to train professionals with in-depth understanding and skills to evaluate, manage, and prevent environmental pollution, health risks, and occupational safety issues in industries. Issues like water scarcity, pollution, industrial safety and occupational health, will be dealt with in the training.
Jamia Millia Islamia MTech Eligibility Criteria
The Eligibility Criteria for admissions in the MTech Program offered by JMI have been given below–
- Applicants must have a degree in MSc in Environmental Studies/ Environmental Science, BTech, BE, or BPlanning in any branch from any university or institution recognised by AICTE/ UGC, with at least 55 per cent marks or equivalent grade in the qualifying exam.
