NEET PG Counselling 2024 Round 1 Registration, Dates, Seat Matrix, Supreme Court Hearing Updates

Introduction 

Schedule for NEET PG Counselling 2024: The Medical Counselling Committee will release the NEET UG Counselling 2024 schedule soon. According to the media reports, the counselling schedule will be issued online tomorrow I e  October 16, 2024. Candidates are advised to watch the official website for any of the latest updates on the NEET PG 2024 counselling round.

For admissions to the postgraduate medical programmes, there will be three rounds of counselling. Candidates who have passed the NEET PG 2024 entrance exams are eligible to apply for the counselling process. MCC has the responsibility to conduct the NEET PG counselling process for admissions to the state quota seats in government medical colleges and universities across the country. 

 

NEET PG 2024 Counselling Process

Students have to register for each counselling round in order to participate in the NEET PG Counselling 2024. Students have to fill out the form by entering the choice of course and college for each counselling round and lock the choices for the seat allotment process. Based on the number of seats available, number of applicants, average marks scored and the category of application, the NEET PG counselling seat allotment result will be released. Those applicants who are allotted seats must download the allotment letter and report to the allotted colleges for verification and the admission process. 

NEET PG Result 2024 Supreme Court Hearing

Applicants have filed a petition against the NEET PG Result 2024 which was announced on August 23, 2024. In the petition they have mentioned the lack of transparency in the result process, the marking scheme and the details on the normalisation process for results. Petitioners have also demanded for the release of the NEET PG question paper, answer key, response sheets and the RAW scores taken for the result normalisation process. 

In its various hearings, The Supreme Court has questioned the NBEMS on its decision to make last-minute changes to the NEET PG Exam pattern just three days before the exams were to commence. SC also wants the answer from the NBEMS to explain the problem. According to the available information, the next hearing is scheduled for October 25, 2024.
