Introduction
The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET) 2024 Results are expected to be released by October 15, 2024. The results will be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). CSIR has announced on X, that the results are expected to be released by 15 October 2024.
To check the results, candidates will need their Application Number and Date of Birth. Candidates can check their scores on the official portal– csirnet.nta.ac.in.
The CSIR UGC NET was conducted on 25, 26, and 27 July in 187 cities in the country. A total of 2,25,335 candidates registered for the CSIR UGC NET session out of which only 1,63,529 appeared for the test. The test was initially scheduled to be conducted from 25 to 27 June. Later, it was postponed by the NTA due to unavoidable circumstances and logistics issues.
On 8 August 2024, the provisional answer key was released, and the final answer key was released on 11 September after corrections.
The Joint CSIR-UGC NET is designed to assess the eligibility of Indian nationals for various opportunities. For example, qualifying for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), becoming eligible for the position of assistant professor, or admission to PhD programmes. The exam is relevant for roles in Indian universities, colleges, and research institutions.
