The Supreme Court of India did not list the NEET PG 2024 Hearing today. The hearing was rescheduled as the Union of India was asked to appear for the hearing. Sources inform that DY Chandrachud, the Chief Justice Of India, who was supposed to preside over the NEET could not be available today. So none of the cases from his bench were addressed. The NEET PG hearing is expected to resume after Dussehra.
The case deals with the demands of normalization and questions the lack of transparency and discrepancies in the evaluation process. The NBEMS's decision to make last-minute changes just before the NEET PG 2024 Exam is being questioned by the students. A formal request to the NBEMS was submitted by the students on 4th September 2024 urging them to release an official answer key and provide a grievance portal.
The petition, filed under the diary number 41088/2024, is led by Ishika Jain, Kiran Kumar Patil, Tanmoy Deshmukh, and 16 other candidates. The petitioners will be represented by advocate Parul Shukla in the court. The petition demands normalization and questions the lack of transparency and discrepancies in the evaluation process.
A request to hold the NEET PG 2024 Counselling Process has also been put forward by the students. Revaluation of the Neet PG scores has also been demanded.
Additionally, complete transparency in question papers answer key and the revaluation process is also expected.
The NEET PG 2024 Counselling has begun. The Counselling Round 1 started on 20 September 2024. Eligible students can apply for the same by visiting the official MCC website– mcc.nic.in. Dates for the rest of the rounds will be announced soon.
