The Supreme Court resumed the hearing on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2024, today, October 4, 2024. The hearing will be regarding the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) decision to not release the question papers, answer keys and inconsistencies in result declaration, and overall exam conduction.
On September 30, 2024, the hearing resumed after considering the alleged discrepancies in the examination. Nineteen petitioners have filed a case against the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) regarding the examination issue.
On September 27, 2024, the Supreme Court resumed the NEET PG 2024 hearing regarding the last-minute changes in the exam pattern, marking issues, release of answer key/ paper solution, and overall exam conduction. The last hearing was postponed due to no representative from the Centre.
On September 13, 2024, the Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, stated that changing the exam pattern just three days before the exam is ‘very unusual’.After the hearing, NBE and the Centre sought and released a short reply along with a general affidavit on September 26, 2024.
