Medical colleges intending has begin a new postgraduate (PG) medical course such as: MD/MS, DM/MCh, PDF, PDCC and six-year DM/MCh must consult the PG Medical Education Board (PGMEB) before beginning a new course.After a positive response from the board, the respective medical college or institute can submit the formal proposal and necessary payment
The National Medical Commission (Recognition of Medical Qualification) Regulations, 2023, describe the process for the acceptance of new medical qualifications. According to the protocol“Any medical institution providing an undergraduate or postgraduate or super-specialty medical qualification may apply to the involved board, along with such documents and information, for inclusion of any new medical qualification, which is not already included in the list”.
“Hence, all medical colleges/ institutes which desires to apply for a new PG medical qualification which has not been contained in the Annexure-l, Il, III, IV, V and VI for Post the Graduate Medical Education Regulations-2023, is asked to apply for the same in the application form for starting of a new a qualification (Specialty), which is available on the NMC’s website,” students are advised to read the NMC notification.

All such candidates should be followed with a required fee of Rs 2,50,000 including 18 percent GST per qualification and addressed to the PGMEB.
