NEET 2024: MCC Allows Round 1 & 2 Candidates to Resign Seats – Check Details at mcc.nic.in
The Medical Counsel Committee (MCC) has permitted candidates who have secured seats in rounds 1 and 2 of the National Eligibility Entrance Test, Undergraduate (NEET-UG) counseling 2024 to resign. The student who wants to resign their seat can do so by October,1.
MCC has issued this notification on its official website. The committee declared that they allowed the resignation of the seat as they received inquiries from multiple undergraduate students. The candidates who wish to leave their Round-1 or Round-2 seat can do so till 5 PM of 01.10.2024 and must read the official notification.
Who Can Resign?
A candidate must follow a list of criteria before resigning from the seat.
- Any candidate who has been allocated a seat in Round 1 or Round 2 of the NEET UG counseling 2024 can resign the seat.
- NEET UG round 1 candidates who did not upgrade seats in round 2 can resign without penalty or charges.
- The medical student who upgraded their seat during the second round of NEET counseling and now wants to leave their assigned seat may do so by giving up their seat and leaving their security deposit by the deadline.
Candidates have to report physically at the allotted college to resign their seats and do so by following the deadline
How to Resign Your Seat?
The resignation of seat process is very simple, follow these steps:
- Visit the mcc official portal at mcc.nic.in
- Search for the NEET UG 2024 counseling section link on the homepage.
- Log in using your ID and password.
- After logging click the option to resign your seat.
- Review and follow the instructions given on the portal.
- Candidates must submit the resignation request before the deadline to avoid any issue
