Amazon Signs Agreement With Ministry Of Labour For Job Opportunities On NCS Portal
On September 26, 2024, Amazon India signed an MoU with the Ministry of Labour and Employment to utilise the National Career Service (NCS) portal to create work opportunities at Amazon.

The partnership with National Career Service enables the identification of job seekers across India for working opportunities. It also helps Amazon India and its staffing agencies to post job openings and vacancies from the NCS portal source.
Amazon officially stated that in Fiscal year 2024, the total number of registered job seekers on the NCs Portal stood at 87 lakh. This portal connects job seekers and management for the development of the E-Commerce sector,leading to a contribution to the overall economic development of the country across the globe.

Deepti Verma, Vice President of India, Japan and emerging markets, said that it is exciting to partner with the Ministry of Labour and Employment to seek job matching. This provides an easy way for job seekers to search for work opportunities across Amazon.
The Union Minister of Labour, employment of India, Mansukh Mandaviya, stated that Amazon India has become a valued partner while integrating the National Career Service Portal.
Amazon has created over 13 lakh jobs. The company directly employs over 1.2 lakh for various roles.
Every year, Amazon creates work opportunities during the festival season.Recently, Amazon announced over 110,000 work opportunities in its operations network for job seekers. The jobs are available in prime cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore.
Notably, Amazon has hired thousands of women associates and also 1900 persons with disabilities.
Amazon has stated that they aim to provide diverse and inclusive work opportunities nationwide.
