The Directorate of Medical Education and Training in Uttar Pradesh has barred many candidates from participating in the upcoming NEET PG and UG counselling sessions. According to the government notice, candidates who do not take admission on allotted seats under stray vacancy will lose their security deposit and be barred from participating in NEET PG counselling in the 2024-25 session.
According to a letter by the office of the director general, of medical education, Kinjal Singh, “there are several 81 such candidates who did not take admission in MD/MS courses after being allotted seats in the stray vacancy round. They are being barred from NEET PG counselling 2024-25,” These types of candidates were allotted seats in various government and private medical colleges in different state districts, in October and November.
276 UG candidates have also been barred from participating in second round of NEET-UG-2024 counselling because the documents they submitted were incorrect and were rejected. Some of them were not able to produce certificates of the quote they claimed while filling up online forms and in some cases, the ‘name was mismatched’.
Names of such candidates were announced by the directorate of medical education and training, Uttar Pradesh which conducted the counselling for MBBS and BDS seats in the state, both for government and private colleges.PG counselling is to begin today i.e September 23 and UG is underway.
