Encourage Women for Higher Education to Make India the Most Developed Nation by 2047

President Droupadi Murmu at the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Vishwa Vidyalaya (DAVV) convocation, stated that women need to be encouraged to pursue their higher education and to make India the most developed nation by 2047.

President Murmu,in the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Vishwa Vidyalaya ( DAVV) convocation 2024, stressed the importance of educating women and also urged the educational institutions and teachers to support women in  pursuing their higher education and leading them for personal growth .

She addressed,” All of us need to support and encourage women towards their goal and higher education as half of the country’s population is constituted by women.If our daughters dream big,we have to support them by bringing their dream in to reality only then will they be able to become partners in the development of the country in the true sense”.

The president,Murmu,noted that among the honoured students who were awarded gold and silver medals at the convocation ceremony, the female students was more  awarded than their male counterparts.She said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the slogan of 'Sabka saath, sabka vikas aur sabka prayas' (everyone's support, development and efforts).

She remembered Devi Ahilyabai, the ruler of the erstwhile Holkar dynasty of Indore, for her contribution in the fields of administration, justice, women empowerment, public welfare and tribal development in the year of her 300th birth anniversary.The life of Devi Ahilyabai is an example of how women can bring about revolutionary changes, including political, social, economic and spiritual field despite people who were against education in 18th century”.the president said.

Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also spoke on the occasion,with the presence of Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur.
