Odisha Medical Colleges

Currently, Odisha has a limited number of medical colleges, mostly centered in major cities like Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. Here is the list of some Odisha medical college Odisha which has vacant seats:

Ayushman Bharat Scheme

This move complements the national Ayushman Bharat scheme, which aims to provide affordable healthcare to millions of Indians. By adding more medical colleges, the Odisha government is contributing to a larger pool of trained medical professionals who can help meet the growing demand for healthcare services under this scheme. The presence of local medical colleges will make healthcare more affordable and accessible, in line with Ayushman Bharat’s core mission.

Odisha Health Budget Allocation

The success of this initiative is heavily dependent on the Odisha health budget. The state has significantly increased its health budget this year to accommodate these upcoming changes. This budgetary boost will provide funds not only for building infrastructure but also for recruiting qualified faculty and equipping these institutions with advanced medical technology. A substantial portion of the budget has been earmarked for medical education and improving healthcare infrastructure across the state.
