Application Deadline Extended for National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS)
The Ministry of Education has extended the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme ( NMMSS) until September 30. Students should apply for the scholarship by visiting its official website, scholarships.gov.in.
National means cum merit scholarship scheme is initiated to encourage students to pursue higher secondary education instead of dropping out. This scholarship is offered only to students from class 9 to 12,providing 12,000 per annum to the students.
NMMSS Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the scholarship students must meet the eligibility criteria.
- Students must score 55 percent in the class 8 final exam.
- The student's family annual income should not exceed 3,50,000.
How To Apply National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme
This scholarship is provided to students who meet the eligibility criteria. Here are the steps to apply for the scholarship.
- Visit its official website, scholarships.gov.in.
- Click the register yourself’ tab
- Generate your one-time registration number (OTR).
- Complete your registration.
Documents Required For Nmmss Application
Students must have documents with them to complete their registration and proceed with their application process. The documents include:
- Name
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Father's and mother's name
- Domicile state
- School or institute enrolment number
- Class 10 and 12 details ( percentage, roll number and marksheets).
- Any competitive exam completed information ( exam name, roll number and year ).
- Adhar card
- UDID number.
