Southampton University To Open In India: Campus to Focus on UG Programs with Global Faculty

Southampton University is now opening its first campus in India with the help of foreign universities in the country. The campus, which is going to be located in the Delhi-NCR, is expected to start operating in the year 2025. The university aims to enroll over 5,000 students in the coming eight within the next eight years by offering 30 courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

It will start its initial phase with six courses which will include four undergraduate programs in computing, focusing on AI, data science, and business with an emphasis on entrepreneurship. In addition to this, there will be two postgraduate programs in computing and technology also. With time, the number of courses will increase to 30, comprising 20 undergraduate and 12 postgraduate programs.

Tuition Fees of Southampton University 

Tuition fees of Southampton University at the Indian campus will be approximately 60 percent of the Southampton campus in the UK, which will be affordable for Indian students by maintaining a premium pricing structure. Admission requirements will be the same as of the UK campus by ensuring the same academic standards.

Recruitment of University Faculty 

Southampton University is planning to recruit a diverse faculty, both internationally and locally which will ensure that students will get the education by global expertise and local understanding. The campus will attract the majority of enrollments from the domestic Indian market and some international students. The main motive of the university is to give quality education to the students for their upcoming future.
