CAT 2024: IIM Calcutta warns of fraud registration website; urges candidates to report suspicious activity
Indian Institution of Management (IIM) Calcutta, has warned the applicants against fraudulent website for impersonating the official Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 registration portal. The main motive of this fraud website is to trick applicants into providing personal information..
The reliable website for registration is iimcat.ac.in, according to the many well known newspapers. One notice has been issued for the candidates which requests to verify the URL before entering any personal details and to avoid unsecured websites that are demanding sensitive information and payments.
CAT 2024: Beware of Caution fraudulent websites
- According to the officials, the notice which was issued is, "We urge all applicants and stakeholders to be cautious and visit only our official website and not fall prey to spurious or malicious websites engaging in pharming, phishing that resemble the official CAT website. The CAT official website is https://iimcat.ac.in, as advertised in several newspapers, and there is no other website for CAT."
So, be careful of all these scams as they are doing this for their interest and for the haem of the candidates.

- Be cautious of fraudulent websites that use the official site to steal personal data.
- First, you should Verify the URL- which ensures that the website address is correct and matches the official CAT website.
