Telangana State Council of Higher Education has rescheduled the Web Options Entry date to September 2, 2024. The TSCHE has extended the time duration for filling students’ preferences on the website. The process enables the candidates to add their preferences to the website.
What is TS PGECET Counselling 2024?
TS PGECET is the counselling process for admissions in postgraduate programs for engineering offered in Telangana. Only the students who have successfully passed the TS PGECET exam 2024 can register for this counselling.
TS PGECET Online Counselling Process
The process is an online process. It involves the following steps-
- The candidates will have to visit the official website and complete the Registration and Document Verification first.
- Once registered, the candidates must choose their course and college preferences and submit their choices on the website carefully.
- The seats will then be allotted considering some factors.
- After seat allotment, candidates must report to the allotted college within the given time frame.

The TS PGECET 2024 provisional list will be declared on 8 September 2024.
TS PGECET 2024 seat allotment
TS PGECET 2024 seat allotment is based on the following factors-
- Rank- Candidates with higher TS PGECET Ranks will be given preference.
- GATE/GPAT Score- Candidates who have scored high GATE/GPAT scores will be given preference.
- Category- Reservation Criteria will also be followed according to the state rules.
- Location- Locals of Telangana will be given preference over non-locals.
- Preferences- Seat Allotment also depends on the Web Options entered by the candidates.
- Available Seats- Seats will be allotted only if the required number of seats is vacant in a particular course and college.
Reservation Criteria and Percentile Required
Minimum percentage required by General Category candidates is 50% and 45% for candidates belonging to the reserved categories.
TG PGECET-2024 admissions will be done once the list has been declared and the results are out.
