The Medical Counselling Committee has extended the choice-filling deadline for Round 1 of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate counselling. Now, the choice-filling process will continue till 11:59 pm on August 21. They can do so through the official website of MCC at “mcc.nic.in”.
The MCC will also activate the choice-locking facility for NEET UG 2024 at 5 pm today. Choice locking was scheduled to start on August 20 at 4 pm and close by 11:55 pm. The window for choice filling was opened on August 20.
The MCC has asked medical aspirants to download the 'Sandes' app to keep them updated about notifications and information regarding NEET UG counselling. Candidates can edit their choices before locking their choices. Locking the choices within the stipulated period is mandatory to get a print on the submitted choices, according to the MCC. In case candidates fail to lock, the system shall automatically lock the choices as per the schedule.
The MCC has made it clear that once the choices are locked, they cannot be unlocked, even by the Committee. Therefore, candidates must exercise due caution while locking their choices.
The seat allotment result for Round 1 will be disclosed on August 23. The candidates will need to report to the assigned institute between August 24 and 29.
The MCC NEET UG counselling will comprise four rounds in which an online stray vacancy round will be included. The NEET UG counselling Round 2 registration process will start on September 5 and continue up till September 10 (noon).
The candidates must carry the original and a photocopy of the following documents mentioned below:
1. NEET UG scorecard 2024.
2. MCC NEET UG allotment letter.
3. NEET UG admit card 2024 issued by the NTA (National Testing Agency)
4. Class 10 mark sheet or dob certificate.
5. Class 12 certificate or mark sheet.
6. Proof of identity - Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence, or passport.
7. Eight passport-size photographs same as the one affixed on the application form.
8. Sponsorship affidavit and relationship affidavit.
9. NRI candidates should submit a passport copy of the sponsor and embassy certificate.
10. For PIO, OCI, foreign national candidates citizenship certificates and card number documents are mandatory.
