KCET 2024 Counseling: KEA extends registration deadline for medical courses till August 19

New Delhi: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has reopened the portal for registration for medical, dental, and AYUSH courses, allowing candidates to link their NEET UG 2024 roll numbers for KCET 2024 counseling. Qualified candidates from the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) can now apply for counseling and pay the required fee. Already registered candidates can link their roll number through the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

The deadline to apply for KCET counseling 2024 for MBBS and BDS admissions is August 19. KEA announced in an official notification, "At the request of candidates and parents, the online portal has been reopened from 6:00 PM on August 16, 2024, until 10:00 AM on August 19, 2024, for new registration and for linking UG NEET roll numbers by already registered UGCET 2024 candidates. Interested candidates who have qualified for UG NEET 2024 can register, apply online, and pay the fees. (The candidates who are already registered, they no need to register again)".

The examination authority has also instructed OCI, PIO, NRI, foreign nationals, NRI ward, and category-2 to category-8 candidates of St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, to appear in person for document verification at the KEA office on August 19, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with all relevant original documents as per their eligibility.

Candidates who missed the document verification between August 7-9 and August 12-15 can also attend the verification process on August 19 with all required documents.

KEA emphasized by stating that this is the last opportunity for registration, "As per NMC/NCISM guidelines, counseling all the rounds, including the stray vacancy round, will be conducted exclusively by KEA online. For UG NEET 2024, qualified candidates are advised to register online with KEA, and complete the document verification process to be eligible for admission to Dental, UG Medical, and AYUSH Courses in the State of Karnataka".
