NEET PG 2024: The National Eligibility Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) candidates has experienced changes in their exam city allotments, causing unrest among aspirants. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) addressed some requests for closer exam centers but left many candidates dissatisfied. The release of a confidential NBEMS letter containing candidate numbers and exam shift details has also raised concerns about exam security.
Candidates took to social media to express their frustration. Complaints ranged from logistical issues like long travel distances and high costs to calls for the examination to be postponed or conducted in a single shift without normalization. There were also calls for increased transparency and fairness in the allotment process.
NBEMS communicated the changes via email, informing candidates of their new test city allocations and stating that no further changes would be considered. The official letter mentioned the engagement of additional test centers to accommodate candidates closer to their states of correspondence.
