KEA announced the special registration window for UG NEET 2024, Check details here

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced the opening of online applications for admissions to MBBS, BDS, Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy (AYUSH) degree courses for the academic year 2024-25. This is under the directives of the Government of Karnataka.

Candidates who have secured the prescribed minimum score in UGNEET-2024 are eligible to register and apply online for these courses. It is important to note that the eligibility criteria for SC/ST/OBC candidates are applicable only to those from Karnataka. Those who have not registered for UGCET-2024 but have qualified in UGNEET-2024 are required to submit their applications online and pay the necessary fees to be considered for admission. The registration window will be open from 11:00 AM on August 7, 2024, until 11:59 PM on August 9, 2024. Applicants can access the "UGNEET-2024 new registration" link on the KEA portal during this period.

Before proceeding with the online registration, applicants are advised to read the UGNEET-2024 information bulletin. This document provides crucial details regarding eligibility, types of seats, and other relevant conditions. The bulletin is available on the KEA website at http://kea.kar.nic.in.

Instructions for Non-Karnataka Candidates

Non-Karnataka candidates who have qualified for UGNEET 2024 must first register online on the KEA portal (if not previously registered), enter all required details, and pay the registration fee. They are also required to submit their 12th standard marks in PDF format on the portal. Non-Karnataka candidates do not need to appear for document verification.

However, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), NRI foreign nationals, and non-Karnataka candidates eligible to claim NRI ward, religious minority, or categories 2 to 8 at St. John's Medical College, Bangalore, must appear for document verification at KEA, Bangalore on specified dates. As per the National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi's letter dated July 24, 2023, all rounds of counseling, including the Stray Vacancy Round, will be conducted online by KEA. All UG NEET 2024 qualified candidates are advised to complete the online registration and document verification process to be eligible for admission to UG Medical and Dental courses in Karnataka.
