NEET UG counselling 2024: Four rounds to begin soon, MCC declares schedule

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially announced the NEET UG counselling 2024 schedule, set to commence shortly. This year, in four distinct rounds the counselling process will be conducted, aimed at facilitating admissions across the country for medical and dental courses.

The NEET central and state counselling processes are conducted by 15 percent All India Quota (AIQ) seats to BSc Nursing, BDS and MBBS courses admission at Central and Deemed Universities, AIIMS, AFMC and JIPMER institutes. On the other hand, by the State Authorities the 85 percent state quota seats medical admission is conducted to state medical colleges.

Key Dates and Rounds
With the first round, the counselling process will begin, where the candidates will be required to register online and for colleges and courses to submit their choices. Below mentioned is a brief overview of the schedule:-
1. Round 1 Registration: Begins July 25, 2024.
2. Choice Filling: July 28 - August 1, 2024.
3. Result Declaration: August 5, 2024.
4. Reporting to Colleges: August 6 - August 12, 2024.
However, similar timelines the subsequent rounds will follow, with the second round scheduled for mid-August, in September a mop-up round, and for any unfilled seats an additional special round.

Eligibility and Process
