CAT 2024 Registration Date Soon: Eligibility, Syllabus, Question Paper Pattern
The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024, administered by one of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), is set to open registration soon. CAT 2024 serves as a gateway for admission to management programmes at 20 IIMs and several other prestigious institutions including IITs, SPJIMR, IMTs, FMS Delhi, GIM, and MDI Gurgaon.
Eligibility Criteria for CAT Exam 2024
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST, PwD candidates) from a recognized university.
- Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification examination, or those awaiting results, are eligible to apply.
- Must have completed a professional degree such as CA, CS, ICWA, or Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI) with required marks, or should be in the final year of such programmes.

Previous Year's Statistics
Last year, CAT was conducted by IIM Lucknow in three sessions on November 26. Approximately 88% of registered candidates appeared for the exam, with over 3.28 lakh registrations and 2.88 lakh test-takers.
