Understanding JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern
The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers JEE Main 2025 in two sessions. The exam is divided into two papers:
- Paper 1: For B.E./B.Tech candidates

According to the official JEE Main exam pattern, Paper 1 has 90 questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, out of which 75 questions must be attempted by the candidates. There are 20 MCQs and 10 numerical value-based questions in each subject, out of which only 5 must be attempted.

The JEE Main negative marking scheme is governed by the following rules:

The highest mark for JEE Main total marks is 300 for Paper 1. The total marks are different for Papers 2A and 2B.
