The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration process for NEET UG 2025 today, March 7, at 11:50 PM. Candidates who have not yet applied must visit the official website neet.nta.nic.in and complete their application before the deadline to avoid any last-minute issues. The NEET UG 2025 application correction window will open on March 9 and remain available until March 11 at 11:50 PM.
The NTA has been continuously reminding aspirants about the approaching deadline, urging them to complete the application form for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2025) without delay. This exam is the only national-level entrance test for admission to undergraduate medical and allied courses across India. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 4, 2025.
NEET UG 2025 Application Correction Process
Candidates who have already submitted their NEET UG 2025 application can make corrections in their form during the correction window. Any modifications affecting the fee amount will require additional payment. The NTA has clarified that excess payments will not be refunded. Therefore, candidates must carefully review their details before final submission.
A recent notification by NTA stated, "Final corrections will be applicable only after payment of any additional fees, if required. Candidates are advised to complete the process carefully to avoid discrepancies."
Rise in NEET UG Registrations
Over the past few years, NEET UG registrations have seen a steady rise. In 2024, a record-breaking 24,06,079 candidates registered, compared to 20,87,462 in 2023. In 2022, the number stood at 18,72,343, showing a significant upward trend in participation. This surge in applications indicates a growing demand for medical education in India.
Exam Centers and Selection Process
While you fill the NEET UG 2025 application form, candidates must select three preferred cities for their exam centre in order of priority. The choice of cities will be restricted to the state of the candidate’s permanent or present address. Applicants should ideally opt for a city close to their residence to minimize travel-related challenges.
