HP NEET 2024: Extended Registration for Stray Vacancy Round Closes Tomorrow; Counselling After Cut-Off Reduction
The HP NEET 2024 registration deadline for the stray vacancy round counselling has been extended until March 5, 2025, following the reduction in the NEET PG 2024 qualifying percentile. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website amruhp.ac.in before the deadline.
HP NEET 2024 Extended Registration Details
The Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU) is conducting the HP NEET 2024 counselling on behalf of the Himachal Pradesh state medical admission process. Due to the revision in the qualifying percentile, fresh applications are invited for MD/MS courses in medical colleges across the state.
As per the AMRU notification, candidates can complete the HP NEET 2024 extended registration process between March 4 and March 5, 2025, until 11:55 PM. Applicants must provide their academic and personal details to finalize their registration.
Revised NEET PG Qualifying Cut-Off
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has revised the NEET PG 2024 qualifying percentile to 5 percentile for all categories. Previously, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) had lowered the cut-off in January to 15 percentile for the general category and 10 percentile for reserved categories.
This reduction follows a directive from the Delhi High Court, which instructed the authorities to further lower the NEET PG cut-off 2024, ensuring a broader pool of candidates can participate in the admission process.
HP NEET 2024 Seat Allotment Process
Candidates who register for the HP NEET 2024 counselling will be included in the merit list based on their scores. Those shortlisted will participate in the HP NEET 2024 seat allotment process, where they will select their preferred medical colleges and courses. The allocation of seats will depend on the candidate's merit rank, seat availability, and choices filled during the counselling process.
