NEET PG 2024: Qualifying cut-off percentile reduced, check details here

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released a substantial NEET PG 2024 cut-off percentile decrease for all categories, bringing it down to the fifth percentile. This change is intended to expand the number of candidates eligible for postgraduate medical admissions.

Earlier, the NEET PG qualifying percentile 2024 was fixed at the 50th percentile for General category applicants and the 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The new revision has brought down the minimum percentile to be required by all categories to the fifth percentile.

Even after this modification, the NEET PG 2024 rank and percentile scores, as published on August 23, 2024, do not change. Candidates who satisfy the new NEET PG 2024 revised cut-off are eligible to take part in the current counseling process.

The NEET PG cut-off marks 2024 are the lowest marks by which the candidates will be made eligible for appearing in postgraduate medical courses. Now that the NEET PG qualifying marks 2024 are lower, a greater number of aspirants will get the chance to secure positions in different medical colleges throughout India.

This move confirms the MCC's vision to fill up all available postgraduate medical seats and provide more access to future medical professionals to pursue advanced medical education.
