CUET UG 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before filling out the CUET UG 2025 application form:
No age limit for CUET UG applicants. However, some universities may have specific age restrictions, so candidates must check university-wise eligibility criteria before selecting institutions in the registration form.
Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed Class 12th or an equivalent exam or are appearing in 2025 are eligible to apply.
Nationality: Only Indian citizens can apply.
Course-Specific Criteria: Candidates must ensure they fulfill the subject and course requirements of the university they wish to apply to. University-wise eligibility criteria can be checked on respective university websites.
Major Changes in CUET UG 2025
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has introduced several changes in the CUET UG 2025 exam structure:
- CUET UG 2025 will be conducted only in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
- Candidates can choose any subjects, regardless of what they studied in Class 12th.
- Total subjects reduced: From 63 to 37.
- Foreign languages removed: Number of available languages reduced from 33 to 13.
- Admission for deleted subjects will be based on General Test (GAT) scores.
- Candidates can select up to five subjects.
- Each subject will have 50 questions, all of which must be attempted.
- Exam duration: 60 minutes per subject.
