JEE Main 2025: Last Day to Challenge Session 1 Provisional Answer Key

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the window for candidates to challenge the JEE Main 2025 session 1 provisional answer key. However, the window will be closing today, February 6, 2025, at 11:50 pm. Candidates who wish to dispute any answers provided in the answer key can submit their objections via the official JEE Main website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The JEE Main 2025 session 1 exams took place in multiple shifts from January 22 to 29 for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) and on January 30 for Paper 2 (BArch/BPlanning). Over 13.78 lakh candidates appeared for the examination, with a significant attendance of 94.4%.

 

How to Challenge the JEE Main 2025 Answer Key?

Candidates who wish to challenge the provisional answer key can follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to jeemain.nta.ac.in.
  2. Click on ‘Answer Key Challenge’: Find and click on the “answer key challenge” link.
  3. Log In: Enter your application number and password (or use date of birth) to log in.
  4. View the Answer Key: After logging in, click on ‘View/Challenge Answer Key’ to access the provisional answer key and the question paper.
  5. Select Questions to Challenge: Candidates can view the question IDs and provided answers. They need to select the question IDs they wish to challenge and choose the correct answer option.
  6. Upload Documents: Candidates must upload any supporting documents or references for their challenge.
  7. Pay the Fee: Pay the required ?200 per question via debit card, credit card, or net banking.
  8. Save and Submit: Once all claims are saved and payment is done, click on ‘Save your claim and pay fee finally’ to submit the challenge.

Candidates should be aware that the NTA will review all valid objections, and if any challenges are accepted, the final answer key will be revised. The final JEE Main 2025 answer key will then be used to calculate the results.

 

Impact on JEE Main 2025 Result

The JEE Main 2025 result for session 1 will be based on the JEE Main final answer key. NTA has clarified that they will not individually inform candidates about the acceptance or rejection of their objections. However, the final answer key will reflect any changes resulting from the challenges.

The JEE Main 2025 session 1 result is expected to be declared on February 12, 2025. Candidates who participated in the exam can calculate their probable scores by comparing their responses with the JEE Main 2025 question paper and response sheet.
