The NEET PG counseling mop-up round deadline has been extended by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) after an HC order on NEET PG, which nullified seat allotments of ineligible candidates. The Karnataka PG medical counseling process was disturbed after the Karnataka High Court found that KEA NEET PG counseling had invited candidates already allotted seats in the All India Quota (AIQ) Round 3 to appear for the state mop-up round.
Under the orders of the High Court, the KEA NEET PG counseling has now extended the last date to pay the fee on or before February 7, 2025, and the reporting date to the allotted college on or before February 8, 2025. This gives sufficient time to the concerned candidates to complete the formalities.
Strict checking of eligibility criteria by the HC order on NEET PG mandating this, with eligibility-based allotment in Karnataka PG medical counseling and ensuring only eligible candidates get their seats in the medical institution. KEA has already announced it will follow tight guidelines in its subsequent rounds of counseling to avoid this problem.
Candidates appearing for the NEET PG counseling mop-up round deadline are informed that the dates have been extended, and the procedure for completion of all steps is to be done in time to ensure admission.
