CMAT 2025 exam today; a quick look at NTA paper pattern, negative marking scheme
New Delhi: Today, the CMAT 2025 will be administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to colleges affiliated with the AICTE and other participating institutions. The NTA will administer the computer-based entrance exam (CBT) in two shifts per the CMAT paper pattern.
Candidates must bring their CMAT admit card, a passport-sized photo, and an authorized photo ID card when they take the CMAT 2025 exam. Candidates will not be permitted to enter the exam room if these documents are not presented.
Three hours will be allotted for the NTA CMAT exam. The first shift ran from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the second shift will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
CMAT Paper Pattern
There will be five sections on the 2025 CMAT exam paper. There will be 20 questions in each section, for 80 marks each.

CMAT Marking Scheme
The CMAT marking and negative marking scheme are shown here. Candidates can determine their probable score by checking the guidelines.
- Four marks will be awarded for each right response.
- For every wrong response, one mark will be subtracted.
- Questions that remain unanswered will receive no credit.
Among the options provided, candidates must choose one as the right response. Only candidates who successfully answered the question according to the updated answer key will receive marks if the CMAT answer key contains more than one valid response. After the test, the CMAT answer key will be released based on the candidate's answers.
